چکیده
Background: Spleen and liver is secondary lymphoid organ that highly sensitive to different chemicals. Widespread use of pesticides in agriculture has always been a matter concern. And surprisingly, atrazine distinguishes out for being used more frequently among numerous harmful pesticides. As result, long term exposure other thought produce metabolic abnormalities; however, little known about how affects the spleen this relates its histo-achitectural structure.
Aim: The histopathology from rats exposed was subject our investigation.
Materials Methods: Twenty male wistar ranging 150-200g were acclimated laboratory conditions 14 days, following which they randomly assigned into 4 groups 1, 2, 3 5 animals each based on average body weight. Groups (2-4) administered via oral route corresponding 1237 mg/kg (20/5 LD50), 618 (10/5 LD50) 309 mg/Kg/body weight (1/10 7, 30 while group I (control) received distilled water orally using orogastric canula days . harvested, weighed, fixed 10% buffered formal saline fixative before taken histological examination 24 hours experimental periods administration extract.
Results: At end experiment, findings showed increased area white pulp as compared control. relative germinal centre structure splenic lymph follicles also revealed increased. Also, Histo-pathologically, necrotic hepatic cells congested central vein, with highest concentration causing most adverse effects.
Conclusion: Our data demonstrated high-dose led hypertrophy cell damage liver. From we concluded both are debilitating effects atrazine.
